SeaCity Museum

Bringing maritime history to life through digital interactives and films.

NewAngle created 37 AV, interactive and soundscape exhibits, housed across three galleries within the SeaCity museum.

The visitor is welcomed by a 24-screen updatable AV where dynamic text, images and videos provide information about the galleries, temporary exhibitions and local events. In the galleries, visitors can engage in a range of digital activities, from exploring Southampton through the ages via a projected map or digging for Saxon treasure, to piloting a ship out of the Solent.

At the heart of the museum is ‘The Inquiry Show’, a double-projection AV creating a virtual courtroom. Transcripts from the inquiry into the sinking of the Titanic, archive photos, and motion graphics build a captivating drama.
