Fethard: Horse Country Experience
A permanent exhibition telling the story of Ireland’s horse country through film, audio, and interactive multimedia.
NewAngle produced six interactive programmes and two films, as well as an atmospheric soundscape for a permanent exhibition about the medieval Irish town of Fethard and how it grew into a world centre for breeding champion racehorses.
We worked with exhibition designers Event Communications on the film ‘Myths and Legends’, which recounted ancient local stories. For this, we integrated Event’s location footage into an atmospheric motion graphics film.
Visitors can use the ‘Racing Legends’ interactive database to learn more about horse racing, breeding and farming in the area, accessing extra film and imagery of locally bred stars.
One of the exhibition’s focal points is a 12-screen installation celebrating champion racehorse Sadler’s Wells, with the sire’s skeleton standing in front.
